Intent Filler

What it is

The Intent Filler is a smart contract deployed on each Spoke network. It is the mechanism through which Solvers fulfill cross-network intents locally, delivering the destination asset to the user on the target network.

While the Intents contract on the Hub manages intent creation and lifecycle, the Intent Filler handles the other side: the actual delivery of value on the destination network.

What it does inside SODAX

Within the SODAX system, the Intent Filler operates on Spoke networks to:

• Enable Solvers to fulfill intents using local liquidity on the destination network
• Lock solver funds during the cross-network settlement process
• Relay fill confirmations back to the Hub, where the Intents contract settles the trade and releases funds to the Solver

The Intent Filler ensures that the user receives their destination asset quickly on the target network, while the cross-network settlement between the Solver and the system completes asynchronously on the Hub.

Why it exists

Cross-network intent fulfillment (often searched as cross chain intent filling or cross chain order filling) requires an on-chain mechanism on the destination network to lock value and confirm delivery. Without the Intent Filler, Solvers would have no standardized way to fill intents locally, and settlement could not be verified.

The Intent Filler exists to separate the user-facing delivery (fast, local) from the system-level settlement (asynchronous, cross-network). This separation is what allows users to receive assets quickly while the system handles coordination in the background.

What this means for users and partners

For users, the Intent Filler is invisible. They receive their destination asset on the target network without needing to understand how fulfillment was coordinated.

For Solvers participating in the SODAX network, the Intent Filler is the contract they interact with to fill orders and earn fees. It defines the rules of engagement for intent fulfillment on each Spoke network.
