Trade SODA on Kraken August 14.

Kraken has confirmed its schedule for the ICX to SODA migration: trading and funding pause on August 7, and the migration itself runs August 10 through 14.
ICX converts to SODA at a 1:1 rate. Once Kraken completes the move, SODA trading opens and ICX is delisted from the exchange.
Self-custody ICX holders aren't on Kraken's clock. There's a clear path to migrate independently on SODA Exchange, or deposit to Kraken ahead of August 7.
Kraken has set the dates for its ICX to SODA migration, giving holders on the exchange a clear runway before ICX disappears from its listings entirely.
On August 7 at 2pm UTC, Kraken will pause ICX trading and funding, meaning deposits and withdrawals stop moving through the exchange. This normal housekeeping ahead of a token migration gives Kraken a clean, final snapshot of who holds what before it can carry those balances over to SODA.
If you want to migrate on Kraken, ensure your balance is in before funding closes.
Between August 10 and 14, Kraken will migrate ICX balances to SODA at a 1:1 rate. Once the migration completes, trading reopens under SODA, and ICX is delisted from Kraken for good.
Nothing you need to do. If your ICX sits on Kraken, the exchange handles the conversion automatically. Your account will reflect the new SODA balance once trading resumes. The only thing worth watching is the pause window itself: don't plan around moving ICX on or off Kraken between August 7 and the migration's completion, and check Kraken's own announcements for exact timing in case plans shift.
If you hold ICX yourself, outside an exchange, none of the above deadlines apply to you directly. You can migrate through SODA Exchange up until the end of 2026.
A couple of things worth knowing before you do:
You'll need a small balance of S on the Sonic network to cover gas for the transaction.
Two-way migration between ICX and SODA is available now, but that closes on September 30, 2026. After that date, migration only runs one way: ICX to SODA.
The ICON network itself is scheduled to shut down at the end of 2026, which puts the final deadline for migrating at December 31, 2026.
That's still several months out. There's no need to rush, but it's worth doing before it becomes the last thing on your list in December. Full step-by-step guidance is available at support.sodax.com.
Kraken isn't the first exchange to make this move. Coinone completed its ICX to SODA migration for its Korean userbase earlier this year, with SODA/KRW trading now live. It was one of the first exchanges to back the migration, and that early support helped establish the migration pattern that more can now follow.
We will share additional CEX support as additional platforms join the migration, or not, and urge any holders unsure of their CEX’s support as we approach the deadline to make arrangements for self-custody migration in case it is required. Whether your ICX sits on an exchange or in your own wallet, the path to SODA is mapped out end to end. From here, it's just a matter of following it.
